NOAH RUBIN WINS BOYS 16′s
It might not be a Grand Slam Juniors Tennis Event, but it’s close. As a G1 event on the ITF (International Tennis Federation) Circuit – this event draws some of the best junior players in the world.
Several years ago I brought some of my players to summer tennis camp at Sportime in Bethpage where I saw a young player they nicknamed Mighty Mouse. It’s was fun to see this 8 year old moving between playing top players in his age group and playing the top players in the camp. It was also fun when we went down for a few days of holiday camp and Noah, who was easily the smallest player there, partnered with one of my players, who was probably the tallest player there for up the river, down the river where they did quite well.
You could see the talent then, and I have since seen Noah at sectional tournaments up here (his dad is a U Albany grad so playing a tournament in Albany often meant a visit to the alma mater). It comes as no surprise to see Noah winning in the Boy’s 16′s in this prestigious event. Below is a video I found on Zoo Tennis (the ultimate Blog for Junior Tennis in the United States – imho).
