STANFORD, Calif.- Both Stanford tennis teams were honored with several selections to their respective 2012 Pac-12 All-Academic teams on Thursday, as announced by Commissioner Larry Scott.
To be eligible for selection to the Pac-12 All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor. Freshmen are not eligible for consideration.
The men’s team was represented with five honorees. Denis Lin (3.76 - Mechanical Engineering) and Ryan Thacher (3.91 – History) earned spots on the First Team. Matt Kandath(3.31 – Science, Technology & Society) was named to the Second Team while Daniel Ho andBradley Klahn were recognized among the Honorable Mention picks.
Three members of the women’s team earned accolades, led by Veronica Li (3.56 – Political Science) as a selection to the Second Team. Natalie Dillon and Nicole Gibbs were included among the Honorable Mention choices.
