Live from New York – It’s Tennis

Courtney Nguyen in her “Beyond the Baseline” Tennis blog looks at who in tennis would be a good host for Saturday Night Live.  It’s not that there have not been tennis players hosting, it’s that they have been so rare.  She talks about Chris Evert‘s time as a Saturday Night Live host.

Evert quipped in her monologue. “Both require talent and concentration, both are done in front of a live audience, and both peaked in popularity in the late ’70s.” Zing!

The article has plenty of good clips of tennis players at their best.  It’s sort of an audition page for tennis hosting.  It’s a good read on one of the best tennis blogs out there.
