What are the Odds on an American winning the French Open?

NOTE: This article was written before the start of Day 1 but it was published after Day 1 so some of these players are already out of the tournament.

Well if you’re Brian Baker, James Blake, Ryan Harrison, Sam Querrey & Donald Young it’s 500 to 1.  John Isner leads the way at 66 to 1 odds.  Andy Roddick is 250 to 1.  That’s according to William Hill, a British Gambling House.  For the Women, Irina Falconi, Vania King, Varvara Lepchenko, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Melanie Oudin are all 500 to 1.  Odds on Christina McHale are a little shorter at 300 to 1.  Sloane Stephens is also 300 to 1.  Venus Williams is down to 40 to 1, while Serena is 5 to 2 – she is the favorite.

It also depends on who you ask.  If you go to Las Vegas Sports Betting, Serena is 2 to 1 but Venus is still 40 to 1.  On the Men’s side they have Sam Querrey at 1000 to 1. They also show odds for players for Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.  Las Vegas Sports Betting tabs Rafael Nadal as the favorite with odds set at 2 to 3.  Then, of course, you can always get odds for a single match.
