Finished #6 in the United States in the Juniors (USTA)
2000
Won U.S. Open & Australian Open Juniors
March (Miami) won his first ATP match against Fernando Vincente (#41)
August (Washington, DC) won his first ATP tournament beating Fabrice Santoro (#30)
Finished #1 in the world in the Juniors (ITF)
2001
March – Defeated Pete Sampras at the Miami Masters
August defeated World #1 Gustavo Kuerten
2003
Roddick wins his first Masters Series events (Canada and Cincinnati)
September – wins the U.S. Open
November 8 – Hosted Saturday Night Live
Roddick became the youngest American to be ranked #1 at the end of the year since the computer rankings were started in 1973

July – Hired Jimmy Connors as his coach

Began dating Model Brooklyn Decker

March 31 – Announced his engagment to Brooklyn Decker
